Diabetech® Announces Commercial Availability of its Healthcordia™ Programs

Diabetech, LP, a pioneer and leader in the design & manufacture of
wireless devices and automated diabetes management systems (ADMS),
today announces the spin-off of its programs business into a new entity established as "healthcordia, llc".

The commercialization of Diabetech's research includes an emphasis on convenience, simplicity and accuracy. The healthcordia program lifecycle of 'measure, understand and act' was developed with input from behavioral psychologists, endocrinologists, patients and their caregivers. Outcomes data from the research shows that participants who are engaged in healthcordia's program lifecycle typically achieve reductions in average blood sugar (as measured by A1c) in excess of 1 full point. The HomeCheck
programs are designed to address the broad markets of wellness, diabetes and cardiovascular screening for individuals, payers, providers and researchers.

The first commercial programs from healthcordia include HomeCheck-A1c and HomeCheck-365 incorporating comprehensive blood composition analysis (hematology) and the world's most accurate A1c. HomeCheck is simple, private and secure. Only a small drop of blood is required via finger-stick and results are always within +/-0.1 of the True A1c. Accuracy is everything when you consider the effort that goes into self-management of diabetes. Research shows that A1c's obtained via benchtop analyzers in
the physician's office results in the patient receiving inaccurate feedback by more than +/-0.3 at least 16% of the time and by more than +/-0.5 at least 3% of the time**. Since A1c is for many patients the only source
of diagnostic self-care feedback, A1c to A1c comparison must be accurate and frequent. Other finger-stick methods have been documented to deliver even less accurate results. At a minimum, this lack of focus on
accurate feedback misinforms providers and demotivates the patient resulting in a lifetime of elevated blood sugars and corresponding complications.

HomeCheck-A1c delivers a convenient, cost effective and highly accurate tool for screening individuals and large groups for pre-diabetes, diabetes, heart attack risk and other conditions related to elevated blood sugar levels. The HomeCheck blood sample collection kit itself can be drop-shipped to the patient or utilized in physician's offices and the health fair setting. Blood samples are analyzed at healthcordia labs
with results reported electronically through the patient's secure personal health record.

HomeCheck-365 delivers a comprehensive annual management program incorporating HomeCheck A1c combined with education, scheduled encounters with remote Certified Diabetes Educators and an optional
participant incentive component.
