All Tier 3 research programs require enrollment as a participant in a clinical trial. The cost of supporting this research is sometimes sponsored for the participant and in other cases participants are asked to pay all or a portion of the costs of conducting the research. Contact the Principal Investigator or a member of their research staff for each trial to understand the details. You may also register by sending us your contact information on the "contact us" page.
A diabetes follow up visit conducted in the comfort and privacy of home is now a working reality for families of children and teens with type 1 diabetes (programs for adults are planned). Both program and provider fees are necessary. This program does not include the provider fees which are paid directly to the physician (ie - endocrinologist, certified diabetes educator, etc...).
Program Fee: $350/quarter with a 1 year commitment.
Standard Co-Pay: $199/yr (enrollment in RightNow! Study may also be necessary)

The following health plans have agreed to cover 100% of the cost for their patients who enroll in Diabetes HouseCall.

Progressive health plans understand that when mothers are diagnosed with abnormally elevated blood sugars and/or uncontrolled diabetes during pregnancy, every blood sugar check is critical in measuring the effectiveness of the management strategies.
Program Fee: $100/month with a $500 per pregnancy maximum charge
Standard Co-Pay: N/AThe following health plans offer the Healthy Babies program to their members (last updated December 2009):
- Driscoll Children's Health Plan offers participation in this study as a fully covered benefit (no co-pay required) to its members located throughout South Texas
Clinical Research Program
This program raises the bar in clinical research with the highest quality data collection and monitoring services available.All system and processes comply with all relevant State & Federal regulations / guidelines.

Standard Participant Fee / Co-Pay: $0 - $300 one-time participant fee depending on the unique details of each trial
